Welcome!

The Water Quality Management (WQM) application provides the ability to submit lead testing data from Child Care Centers. The portal no longer accepts drinking water analyses for Water Systems. Starting September 1, 2021, drinking water analyses for Water Systems will need to be submitted through the California Laboratory Intake Portal (CLIP), which can be accessed here: CLIP Portal Link.

All testing and submittal of water samples for the Child Care Center (CCC) Lead Program must:

  • Be analyzed by a laboratory with a current ELAP (Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program) certificate on file for lead analysis in drinking water using EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Method 200.8.
  • Use EPA Method 200.8 for lead analysis.
  • Demonstrate a minimum reporting level of 1 part per billion (ppb) or 1 microgram per liter (μg/L).

By uploading CCC lead testing data to this data portal, you attest that you are an authorized laboratory representative and the data submitted complies with all applicable ELAP statutory and regulatory requirements. Submission of data to this portal by a laboratory not accredited for lead analysis in drinking water using EPA Method 200.8 may constitute a violation of Health and Safety Code Sections 100890 and 100895 and may result in civil and criminal penalties.
